TRANS-SENIOR is an Innovative Training Network funded by the European Union!
We are in the process of recruiting 13 Marie Curie PhD students for TRANS-SENIOR, an Innovative Training Network for shaping future care for Senior Citizens, funded by the EU.
The TRANS-SENIOR Innovative Training Network builds capacity for tackling a major challenge facing European long-term care systems: the need to improve care for an increasing number of care-dependent senior citizens by avoiding unnecessary transitions and optimising care transitions that are actually needed.
Potential candidates from any nationality and from multiple disciplines relevant to the project can apply for vacancies in seven different countries, and with international mobility as a criterion. The deadline for allications is 20 September of 2018.
All information can be found on our website: www.trans-senior.eu/vacancies

The Sheffield World Health Organization Simulation or SheffWHO, run by students, was held April 27th-29th, addressing the topic of “Outbreaks and Pandemics: Addressing the Next Crisis” and was a brilliant event with unanimous appraisal.
SheffWHO has been the first health-themed simulation in Sheffield and second to occur in the UK, modelled after the World Health Organization’s (WHO) largest annual meeting – The World Health Assembly.
To tackle this topical health issue, students, alumni, and professionals represented WHO Member States, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Pharmaceutical Companies and Media Organisations. The conversation created innovative solutions to improve our world.
SheffWHO has also been nominated for "Innovation in Academic Skills Development" and shortlisted for "Best Student Led Event or Activity Award" by the Sheffield Students Union. This award highlights "a student-led event or activity that successfully engaged students in current educational issues." The awards ceremony will be on Thursday, May 17th.
