The European Commission has renewed for 6 more years

We are very happy to announce that the European Commission has renewed its support to the Europubhealth+ European Master in Public Health for 6 more years !

This renewed EU funding will allow our consortium to offer almost 90 full Erasmus Mundus excellence scholarships to the best students worldwide and to sponsor international public health experts to come teach on the programme.

Two new partner universities are joining the consortium to offer additional 1st year foundation courses options, namely the University College Dublin (Ireland) and the University of Liège (Belgium).

In addition to the award of a double Master’s degree, students will get to study in at least 2 different countries, in up to 3 languages (English, Spanish and French).

Emphasizing at its core the urgent need to build sustainable health systems while addressing health inequalities, Europubhealth+ will keep providing multidisciplinary training in a unique multicultural environment. The consortium will be greatly supported in this endeavor by an exceptional network of associated partners representing public health services, international organizations, NGOs and higher education institutions from Europe and beyond.

The Europubhealth+ Master programme has been recognized by the European Commission as "Master of excellence" since 2006 and it was awarded the Best Practice Award for Excellence in Public Health Education and Training by ASPHER in 2018.

More than 300 graduates from 70 different nationalities now form a strong interdisciplinary and international network of public health professionals, which only intends to grow further.

Brilliant and successful simulation by SheffWHO

The Sheffield World Health Organization Simulation or SheffWHO, run by students, was held April 27th-29th, addressing the topic of “Outbreaks and Pandemics: Addressing the Next Crisis” and was a brilliant event with unanimous appraisal.

SheffWHO has been the first health-themed simulation in Sheffield and second to occur in the UK, modelled after the World Health Organization’s (WHO) largest annual meeting – The World Health Assembly.

To tackle this topical health issue, students, alumni, and professionals represented WHO Member States, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Pharmaceutical Companies and Media Organisations. The conversation created innovative solutions to improve our world.

SheffWHO has also been nominated for "Innovation in Academic Skills Development" and shortlisted for "Best Student Led Event or Activity Award" by the Sheffield Students Union. This award highlights "a student-led event or activity that successfully engaged students in current educational issues." The awards ceremony will be on Thursday, May 17th.

Become one of 13 Marie Curie PhD students at TRANS-SENIOR

TRANS-SENIOR is an Innovative Training Network funded by the European Union!

We are in the process of recruiting 13 Marie Curie PhD students for TRANS-SENIOR, an Innovative Training Network for shaping future care for Senior Citizens, funded by the EU.

The TRANS-SENIOR Innovative Training Network builds capacity for tackling a major challenge facing European long-term care systems: the need to improve care for an increasing number of care-dependent senior citizens by avoiding unnecessary transitions and optimising care transitions that are actually needed.

Potential candidates from any nationality and from multiple disciplines relevant to the project can apply for vacancies in seven different countries, and with international mobility as a criterion. The deadline for allications is 20 September of 2018.
