Assignments

Scholars contribute to :

  • teaching in the Europubhealth Masters programme in first year according to their specific qualification.
  • all teaching forms in any of the Consortium’s institutions, besides the Erasmus Mundus Masters course: teaching courses, e-learning, distance learning.
  • supervise and support students in setting up their research and dissertation, and participate in students assessment at Rennes during the integration modules.
  • be actively involved in the work of the Quality Steering Committee (QSC).
  • participate in other activities at the host institution (workshops animation, meetings, lectures...)
  • share their experience particularly with regards to their proficiency or their geographic area of origin.
  • do research work in relation with their specific proficiency

Scholars proficiency should correspond to the Europubhealth curriculum content.

Mobility pathways

Scholar's mobility can start at any time in the duration of the programme and should last from a minimum of two weeks to a maximum of three months.

Scholars mobility can take place in maximum two different partner institutions of the Europubhealth Masters course.

Scholars from third country institutions can choose to take part in the integration modules (1 month) and apply to an additional mobility (maximum duration 2 months) to one of the following institutions:

  • University of Sheffield, ScHARR
  • Andalusian School of Public Health (EASP), Granada
  • University of Copenhagen, Institute of Public Health
  • Jagiellonian University of Cracow, Institute of Public Health
  • EHESP School of Public Health, Rennes or Paris
  • University of Rennes 1
  • IEP Rennes

Scholars from partner institutions of the Consortium can choose to take part in the integration modules (1 month) and apply to an additional mobility (maximum duration 2 months) at :

  • University of Columbia - Mailman School of Public Health

Scholars can choose to integrate a maximum of two of the above-mentionned institutions (EHESP for the modules + another partner institution or two partner institutions).

A minimum of three grants will be allocated for each category of Scholars (third country and European country institutions)

Erasmus mundus scholarship

Erasmus Mundus scholarships are accessible to teachers :

  • enrolled in a third country institution
  • enrolled in a European partner institution of the Consortium Europubhealth- New!

Scholars receive an Erasmus Mundus grant of 1,200€ per week as a living allowance (transport is included).

The total number of grants awarded by the European Commission for the aademic year 2011-2013 for both categories will be :

  • 22 scholarships of 2 weeks for third country scholars
  • 10 scholarships of 2 weeks for scholars from partner institutions of the Europubhealth Consortium

A minimum of 3 scholarships will be allocated for each scholar category  (third country and european country).

The Europubhealth consortium is in charge of selecting the scholars.

Criteria of eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must fulfil the following conditions:

  • To be a teacher in a third-country* or a European partner institution of the Europubhealth Consortium
  • PhD or recognised equivalent in public health or related disciplines
  • A five year experience in Education/Research
  • Language proficiency according to the teaching language of the host institutions
  • Conformity of documents provided: application file duly completed, CV (european format), motivation letter, passport copy. In the motivation letter, the candidate must explain his project and how he/she will contribute to the Europubhealth Masters course.

* A Third-country is any country other than a UE member state or a EEA/EFTA country (Iceland Liechtenstein and Norway)

APPLICATION FORM

Do research or teach in Europubhealth

The Erasmus Mundus programme offers two types of scholarship to individual scholars (academics):

- Scholarships for academics from third country institutions to be selected by the Consortium Europubhealth in orderr to contribute in research and teaching in the joint Europubhealth programme.

- Scholarships for academics from European partner universities of the consortium EUROPBHEALTH with the objective of contributing to the joint programme in our third country partner (the Mailman school of public health - New-York) by doing research and teaching;

Selection Criteria:

The scholars (academics) selected by the Erasmus Mundus must demonstrate academic experience and/or professional reference and provide real added value to the program of Master Europubhealth.
