Teaching in Europubhealth

Erasmus Mundus programme offers grants to third countries scholars (teachers) who would like to carry out research and teaching assignments and scholarly work for the Europubhealth Masters Course.

Assignments

Scholars contribute to teaching in the Master programme, first year or specialisations, according to their specific qualification. They can also contribute to all teaching forms in the institution, besides the Erasmus Mundus Master: teaching courses, e-learning, distance learning.

Scholars will also supervise and support students in setting up their research and dissertation, and participate in students assessment at Cracow. They will on this occasion be actively involved in the work of the Quality Steering Committee (QSC).

Scholars are also expected to participate in other activities (workshops animation, meetings, lectures...) at the host institution and share their experience particularly with regards to their proficiency or geographic area origin. Scholars will contribute to research work in relation with their specific proficiency.

Scholars’proficiency should correspond to the Europubhealth curriculum content.

Mobility pathways

Scholars from third country  universities spend three months in two different institutions within the consortium and must attend one student integrative module in Cracow which means that the mobility will take place from April to June/July 2009.

They can choose between the 5 following pathways:

Mobility combinations: 

  • 2 months in Sheffield  and  1 month in Cracow (Integrative module)
  • 2 months in Granada and  1 month in Cracow (Integrative module)
  • 2 months in Copenhagen and  1 month in Cracow (Integrative module)
  • 2 months in Rennes Université and  1 month in Cracow (Integrative module)
  • 2 months in Rennes EHESP and  1 month in Cracow (Integrative module)

Erasmus mundus grants

Erasmus Mundus Grants are accessible to non-European teachers (see hereunder criteria of eligibility):

For 3 month stay, scholars receive 13.000€, corresponding to :

  • 3 x 4.000 € per month
  • 1000 € for travelling costs.

The number of grants awarded by the European Commission is limited. The Europubhealth consortium is in charge of selecting the scholars.

Criteria of eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must fulfil the following conditions:

  • third-country* national “who is not resident of any of the Member States or the participating countries, as provided for article 11, who has not carried out his or her main activity (studies, work…) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in any of the Member States or participating countries�?.
    • A Third-country is any country except:
      • UE member states
      • EEA/EFTA countries (Iceland Liechtenstein and Norway)
      • Candidate countries (Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia & Turkey)
  • high quality: Doctorate degree or equivalent in public health or other related disciplines
  • A five year experience in Education/Research
  • Language skills according to the location of stays
  • Conformity of documents provided: passport copy authenticated, evidence of academic or professional qualifications (including transcripts, copies of diploma obtained authenticated by official authority), copies of language certificates (where appropriate)

Calendar for 2008 / 2010

  • Deadline for receiving application form: 10th January 2008
  • Selection Committee: 7th February 2008.
