1981 – Graduated in Informatics from the University of Mining and Metallurgy of Kraków;
1983 – PhD dissertation – Jagiellonian University Medical College;
1990 – Qualify as assistant professor in Medical Informatics from the Jagiellonian University Medical College.
Main areas of the researches: medical data confidentiality and security, medical services reimbursement model in the European Union, medical record architecture and management.
