Diploma

A recognised double diploma

The final diploma for the EUROPUBHEALTH Masters course is made up of a double diploma, which will be awarded to those students having completed the 120 ECTS credits of the programme. This double diploma is made up of the two national diplomas corresponding to:

    • The diploma delivered by the institution in which the student undertakes his year 1 of study (Granada, Sheffield)
    • The diploma delivered by the institution in which the student undertakes his year 2 specialisation (Copenhagen, Granada, Krakow, EHESP, University of Rennes)

The diplomas delivered are :

    • Master of Public Health, University of Copenhagen, Institute of Public Health - Denmark
    • Master en Salud Publica y Gestion Sanitaria, Andalusian School of Public Health, Granada - Spain 
    • Master of Science in the field of Public Health, Jagiellonian University Medical college, Institute of Public Health, Krakow - Poland 
    • Master droit santé et protection sociale - spécialité Droit, Santé, Ethique, University of Rennes 1, Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, Rennes - France
    • Master international en santé publique Ecole des hautes études en santé publique (EHESP), Rennes - France
    • Master of Public Health, University of Sheffield, School of Health and Related Research - United Kingdom

Depending on his career objectives and language skills, each student will choose one training pathway among 9 different possibilities.

Year 1 (60 ECTS)

    • Basic Acquisitions in Granada
      • Principles of Public Health (8 ECTS)
      • Research Methods (17 ECTS)
      • Health Promotion (10 ECTS)
      • Health Policies and Management (17 ETC)
    • Basic Acquisitions in Sheffield
      • Principles of Public Health and health sociology (7 ECTS)
      • Research Methods, source of information and Epidemiology (14 ECTS)
      • Health Promotion and Health Protection (14 ECTS)
      • Health policies  : need assessments, organisations and delivery of care (17 ECTS) 
    • International Health (5 ECTS)
    • Thesis Preparation (3 ECTS)
    • Language course 1 (not credited)

Year 2 (60 ECTS)

    • Specialisation chosen (30 ECTS)
    • Research work including practical placement (28 ECTS)
    • Inter-Speciality seminar (2 ECTS)
    • Language course 2 (Not credited)

The ECTS system

The European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) is based on the student workload required to achieve the objectives of a programme of study. It aims to facilitate student mobility in Europe and the recognition of periods of study abroad
One credit stands for around 25 to 30 working hours which can include lectures, seminars, laboratory classes, independent study, preparation of projects, dissertations, examinations.
60 credits corresponds to the workload of a full-time student during one academic year.
