Tuition fees

The EUROPUBHEALTH tuition fees have been set at :

- 16.000 € for the two years of study (120 ECTS) for the non European students
-   8.000 € for the two years of study (120 ECTS) for the students stemming from country of the European Union.

These fees include all the following services:

  • Enrolment in all the teaching units and modules and access to related educational ressources
  • Participation to an orientation programme for international students
  • Free access to library, document centres and related services
  • Language course during first and second year (survival language)
  • Examination, diploma and certificate

The fees do not include costs relating to accommodation, food, international travel, travel on site or insurance.

In addition to the tuition fees, health insurance is compulsory for students who receive an Erasmus Mundus grant. Health insurance costs 350€ per year and will be directly deducted from the grant. The purchase of a third party liability insurance is also highly recommended.

The self funded students will have the choice to take their own health insurance and present a certificate of their insurer or take the insurance of the Consortium.

The students must be in compliance with  the regulations of social welfare of the country which welcomes them.

For all the students, third party liability insurance has to be purchased individually.

Admission criteria

The application procedure and selection process are the same for all candidates, regardless of whether they come from European or third countries.

Interdisciplinary by nature, Europubhealth is open to students with diverse but complementary profiles drawn from medical sciences (including doctors, nurses, pharmacists) or social science backgrounds (including, for example, sociology, economics, psychology, anthropology, geography, political sciences, law).

To be eligible, applicants must fulfil the following conditions agreed by the Consortium:

  • Having at least a university Bachelor degree (180 ECTS) or certified equivalent in one of the disciplines mentioned in the access profile and being able to provide a copy of this diploma when applying on line.
  • Studying full time during the two years of the Master course.
  • Being proficient in the languages suitable for the mobility combinations chosen (English; English+Spanish; English+French; Spanish+English+French):
  • Being able to provide a copy of language tests less than tree years old for the required languages. To know more about minimum required language level, see the "language" section in the web page describing the Master course.
  • Choosing a mobility combination in countries that are different from the one where the student passed his university degree
  • Submit a complete on-line application, together with all supporting documentation required (diplomas, certificates, language certificates, letters of recommendation, etc) before the deadline.

NB: applicants applying for an Erasmus Mundus scholarship must meet in addition the eligibility criteria as defined in the relevant Call for Proposals.

Erasmus Mundus grants

Europubhealth Masters course is supported by the Erasmus Mundus programme launched by the European Commission in early 2004.

ERASMUS MUNDUS offers scholarship to students for studying abroad.

To be eligible for the grant, the students must choose a combination of pathway that allows them to spend their study period in, at least, two of the European partner countries which must be different from the country in which the scholarship holder has obtained his/her last university degree.


The exact number of ERASMUS MUNDUS scholarships offered for the intake 2012-2014 are:

- Category A scholarship: 7

- Category A scholarship "window western Balkans and Turkey" *: 1

- Category A scholarship "Tunisia and Egypt" : 1

- Category A scholarship "Eastern Neighbourhood Countries" **: 1

- Category B scholarship: 4

* " The western Balkans and Turkey window" includes students from Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Croatia, the former Yougoslavian Republic of Macedonia,  Montenegro, Serbia and Kosovo under the UNSC resolution 1244/99, and coming from the candidate country of Turkey.

** "The Eastern Neighbourhood Countries" includes students from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

Eligibility criteria for category A scholarship

  • To be a citizen of a "third-country", meaning all country other than:

          o a EU Member State;
          o a EEA-EFTA state (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway)

  • not residing in any above mentioned country;
  • to have not carried out his/her main activity (studies, work, etc.) in any of the above mentioned country for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years (from the 28/02/2007 to the 28/02/2012).
  • Individuals who have already benefited from a ERASMUS MUNDUS scholarship are not eligible 
  • Students benefiting from a ERASMUS MUNDUS scholarship cannot benefit from another Community grant while pursuing their ERASMUS MUNDUS master studies
  • The number of applications must be limited to a maximum three different joint ERASMUS MUNDUS Master programmes.
  • Student must have at least a university bachelor degree (180 ECTS) or officially recognized equivalent and be able to provide a copy of this diploma when they apply on line.
  • Study full time during the two years of the Erasmus Mundus Master course Europubhealth

All the eligible files will be studied by the selection comitee.

Eligibility criteria for category B grants

Category B grants can be awarded to any students selected by Europubhealth consortium and do not fulfil the Category A criteria defined above.

An integrated selection process

There are two stages in the selection process :

Stage 1 : pre-selection

The application forms carrefully completed and up loaded on line are studied by the University of Cracow in charge of this process. The pre-selection procedure checks that the applicant meets all the eligibility conditions defined by the consortium, i.e.:

  • The applicant has at least a university Bachelor degree, i.e. 180 ECTS
  • The applicant can speak* the languages required for the mobility combination chosen, i.e.:
    • English
    • English + French
    • Spanish + French + English
    • Spanish + English
    * Some recent language tests uploaded with the application file can prove the good language proficiency of the candidat
  • The applicant has submitted a complete application online, together with all the supporting papers required (diploma certificates, language certificates, letters of recommendation, etc), scanned and loaded through the web link of the application tool.

N.B.: The selection process is an integrated procedure. The application files will be consulted online by all the partners of the Consortium, then, the pre selected applications will be transmitted to Selection Committee.

Stage 2: final selection

A Selection Committee composed of representatives of the seven partners universities meets once a year. The Commission studies each of the eligible applications, classifies them and publishes a list of the selected candidates as well as a reserve list.

The co-ordinating institution of the Consortium notifies each applicant of the results and organises the final registration for the Masters Course EUROPUBHEALTH.

Erasmus Mundus scholarships

As a rough guide, the amount of the grants for the current intake 2012-2014 is :
48,000 € for the two year masters course for Category A students
23,000 € for the two year masters course for Category B students (including potential mobility grant of 3,000€ for third-country partner institution)
