Health Protection is an increasingly important part of public health practice and is a core competency for accreditation as a UK public health practitioner. The module will cover biological, chemical and radiological threats to health. Whilst it is not possible to go into all the details for each of these, some of the more common scenarios will be addressed. The  module will equip students with the key knowledge and skills required to respond in an appropriate way to any of these threats to human health, including when they present as a health emergency.
