Foundations' scholarships
Students: all students who want to study abroad Grant-awarding organization: private funds Study areas: all Level: applicants must have completed at least two years of college-level coursework or equivalent professional experience before commencing their scholarship studies Grant duration: 1 academic year Eligibility: - All applicants must be citizens of a country in which there are Rotary clubs (see the list of non-Rotary countries)
- Applicants must have completed at least two years of college-level coursework or equivalent professional experience before commencing their scholarship studies
- Initial application must be made through a Rotary club in the applicant's legal or permanent residence or place of full-time study or employment
- Candidates cannot be Rotarians, Honorary Rotarians, or employees of a club, district, or other Rotary entity or of Rotary International. Spouses, lineal descendants (child or grandchild by blood or legal adoption), spouses of lineal descendants, and ancestors (parent or grandparent by blood) of persons in the foregoing categories are also ineligible. Please note that Rotarians and their relatives remain ineligible for scholarship awards for 36 months after a Rotarian has resigned from club membership
- The scholarships are not appropriate for students seeking to continue studies already begun at a foreign institution
- Persons with disabilities and members of Rotaract clubs are eligible and encouraged to apply
- In addition to the criteria listed above, applicants for Academic-Year and Multi-Year Ambassadorial Scholarships must be proficient in the language of the proposed host country. Cultural Ambassadorial Scholarship applicants must have completed at least one year of college-level coursework or equivalent in the proposed language of study.
Grant amount: between US$ 11,000 and US$ 25,000 Application details: a written demand must be presented by the student to the club local Rotary, in the country of origin; the demand must be approved by this club and by the district from which he recovers. Students: young people between 18 and 30 Grant-awarding organization: Fondation de France Study areas: all ; the most important is that it means for you a real vocation Level: none are demanded Eligibility : admission criteria are :
- Vocation, motivation, human qualities
- Innovation, originality, creativity
- Altruistic project
- Your project has already begun
Foreign applicants must :
- Live in France
- Speak very well French
- Mention their country in their project

Most of them are French but some can target international students. We advise you to consult their website (in French) from time to time given its regular evolution.
Students: women leader from a developing country and/or a member of an indigenous tribe or group Grant-awarding organization: Channel Foundation Study areas: education in human rights, sustainable development, and public health Level: 2nd and 3rd degree courses (master) Grant duration: up to 2 years Eligibility: an eligible candidate is a woman leader from a developing country and/or a member of an indigenous tribe or group who: - Is committed to grassroots organizing and the needs of her community or indigenous group
- Has proof of a bachelor's or a higher degree
- Has at least three years of work experience dealing with critical human rights concerns, and other social, educational, environmental, health or economic conditions that threaten life or social stability, that discriminate, or that destroy or deplete her country's or community's resources
- Is accepted into a non-doctoral graduate program at an accredited university for full-time study/research related to her work experience
- Can show evidence of financial need for educational support
- Intends to return to her home country to work, utilizing training and research acquired in the study program
