Goals

The integration module combines problem based learning (PBL) alongside the development of operational and analytical skills necessary for answering a hypothetical tender to tackle global health challenges.

The module aims to:
  • foster the development of culturally sensitive practice.
  • develop critical thinking, teamwork, project management, communication skills, advocacy and leadership skills.

During the 3-week module, students from Year1 and Year2 work in small student led teams in which they fulfill different roles, such as specialists on particular areas of public health, team leaders, group facilitators, resource managers, note takers and communicators. The students design and defend an innovative and sustainable public health intervention to address a global health challenge.
