• I am a sociologist by origin and am Course Director for the multidisciplinary BMedSci Health and Human Sciences programme.

  My current research interests include:

  - UK government family policy and initiatives on parenting, including differing perceptions of ‘early’ parenthood
  - Models of integration and of inter-professional learning and collaboration in children’s services
  - Critical perspectives on 'evidence-based care' in health and social care contexts

  I am a member of the Board for the University Centre for the Study of Childhood and Youth.
